drifting Believers

I think too may so called believers in Christ are simply drifting along. Going with the flow, I don't know how often the "flow" actually heads toward God but I don't think it is often. We head out about OUR lives and IF some opportunity to show God's love or the chance to tell someone the Gospel HAPPENS to come up, some of us take it. I think drifting is a dangerous thing more often than not takes us away from God.

So what do we do to stop drifting? Start paddling towards God. Intentionally head in HIS direction. Pick up His word, Talk to Him. Effort is the key. When was the last time you got up and went out JUST to find a needing person or a lost soul? Yeah me to! We are told to GO OUT not to sit by and wait for the lost and hurting to drift by us.

The world need hope, we supposedly have hope, lets make an effort to show and share that hope. and wouldn't you know it...Hope Floats!

I promise to keep this short, as soon as we define what "short" is.(lol)
I believe you started this post with exactly the right wording.."so called believers"
That is exactly why I am not ashamed or shy about asking anyone "are you saved?" It is just way too important an issue to let it go without actually investigating ones belief system.

If you have asked as many folks as I have that question, you shouldn't be surprised at all the different answers you get back. After evaluating their answers, it becomes easy to determine whether or not you are actually dealing with a saved person or just someone that is scatching a religious itch. Worst case scenerio is the most common, which is someone that is a victim of wrong teaching. Unfortuneatly, they are the hardest to deal with, unteaching someone takes more skill and time...but it is worth it!

I've got to tell you this...out of all the bloggers I have encountered in the short time I have operated in this venue...your posts always displays a heart for the lost souls that surround us. After all...that is why we are here, in Christ's stead with the word of reconciliation, His ambassadors!!...2 Corinthians 5:19-20.

There are just bunches of stuff I could say here...but I promised I'd keep it short...but most folks haven't a clue who they are IN Christ. I believe that is a major problem as well as the "so-called believer" situation. Folks just aren't taught the doctrines associated with the church, the body of Christ, instead are kept in a covenant relationship taught from the OT books of Mathew Mark Luke and John, which God himself has set aside during this present dispensation of the Grace of God. That is why "rightly dividing the word of truth" is NOT is absolutely necessary.

I'll try to stop here with the "who" is the hope.
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Hope has a is Jesus Christ!!!

Grace and Peace!!!
2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
